In the 2005 election the BC-STV passed a majority but failed to reach a super-majority. In the 2009 election the BC-STV failed. In the next 6 months or so we will have the 2013 election. NOW IS THE TIME TO BRING THE ISSUE BACK TO THE ATTENTION OF THE POLITICIANS!

THE POLITICIANS AND MEDIA will think the whole BC-STV issue is dead because of the 2009 failure of the referendum. We can bring STV back if we bring a 'GRASSROOTS' movement promoting STV.

• 2005 the Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform (BC) brought the BC-STV to us, and the referendum came within less than 3% of becoming LAW.
• 2009 and the POLITICIANS were successful in burying BC-STV.
• 2013 we need a GRASSROOTS movement in order to bring BC-STV into LAW. The STV MOVEMENT.

"STV" needs to take on the momentum of "Occupy" or other grass-root movement. Issues on how to build this MOVEMENT will be proposed here on the "Action" page.

We have almost 9 months to build this MOVEMENT before the next election - May 2013. We may or may not be able to get the BC-STV issue on the 2013 ballot but we can throw a wrench into the POLITICAL CIRCUS that is coming this SPRING. With a "STV MOVEMENT" we can disrupt the script that the Liberals & NDP may have planned for the SPRING.

We really do not want the BC-STV issue on the 2013 election ballot anyway. The first demand is to have a BC-STV referendum ON ITS OWN. We want the referendum to be after the 2013 general election and before the 2017 election.

The "BC-STV REFERENDUM" needs to be the only issue on the ballot!
